** YARNS BY THE SEA HAS CLOSED THEIR DOORS, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 6, 2014 – GOOD BYE, WE’LL MISS YOU! **
Yarns by the Sea, located in the Aptos Village Square shopping center, is the place to go in Santa Cruz county for any kind of fiber arts project you’re thinking of or working on. They’re more than just a store – they’re a community of artists who gather on a daily basis to work on their projects, including knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilt-making, spinning – if it’s about fiber arts, it’s going on at Yarns by the Sea.
They have a complete line of yarns and threads, from angora to wool and everything in between. They sell needles, notions, accessories, books, magazines and kits. They offer classes and always have some kind of special event going on.
Tip: come on Thursday nights for “Social Stitching” – it’s free and a great way to meet other fiber artists!
