Loading...Seacliff Village Park (formerly called McGregor Park) is a 1.25-acre park that will be located at the corner of Sea Ridge Road and McGregor Drive, just outside of Seacliff Village in Aptos. Development of the park is planned to be done in two phases, and work is scheduled to begin in 2015.
Phase One focuses on the northern section of the park, and will include a fenced play area, benches, covered picnic areas, bike racks, and a walking path. In Phase One, the perimeter will be planted with drought-resistant foliage and street trees, and the 15,000sf center area will be landscaped with drought-resistant turf and temporarily seeded with meadow grass.
A start date for Phase Two has not been determined. Phase Two will consist primarily of a 3500sf outdoor, public amphitheater which will be used for performances by Aptos area artists and community members.
Seacliff Village Park is located adjacent to the Canterbury Park development, a three-acre, 19-unit development of affordable housing, and will be a welcome amenity for families living there and in all of Seacliff and greater Aptos.
