AptosCommunityNews Turns 3 Today! November 16 2016, is the 3rd anniversary of the founding of AptosCommunityNews.org! The AptosCommunityNews.org domain was registered exactly three years ago today and the first content was published. The site was created with the idea of bringing “community” news to the people who love Aptos, “sharing and caring” about what happens in Aptos.
The most popular article over the past year was the story about how Aptos is Host to Most Popular Airbnb Rental in the World – which actually isn’t too surprising considering how awesome Aptos is. 🙂 The second most popular page on the site over the past year was our Aptos Village Project page, a topic of keen interest to many Aptosians.
As of today, the site holds:
- 32 Pages (info on neighborhoods, development projects, etc.)
- 148 Posts (events, real estate info, etc.)
- 177 News Items (strictly news stories)
- 106 Places (restaurants, shops, churches, parks, etc.)
- 23 Categories of Posts
- 802 Tags (ways to classify and identify information on the site)
In the past year, we had
- 25,235 sessions
- 19,764 Distinct Visitors
- 39,923 Page Views
These numbers are lower than last year, and this is likely due to the somewhat lower number of new articles and news posts. Sometimes, life just gets in the way of putting out AptosCommunityNews; as we go forward we will be looking at ways to have guest writers or for organizations to directly post information on their own events.
When searching for “Aptos News” on Bing.com, AptosCommunityNews is the 6th highest result. On Yahoo.com, AptosCommunityNews.org is currently the 3rd highest-ranked web site for that search term. On Google, the site currently comes up as the 6th highest-ranked web site for Aptos news, appearing on the first page.
We’d like to thank you for visiting our site and Facebook page! You’re part of what makes Aptos such a special place to live and play – so thank you very much for your support!
Also, don’t forget to join the Aptos Community Facebook page – a lot of interesting Aptos news (linked from other local sources like the Sentinel, KSBW, etc.) gets posted there as well.
