Who doesn’t love a good picnic in the park? There’s a big one planned for this Saturday, June 25th at Aptos Village Park from 11:00 AM until 4:30 PM.
It’s being put on by the Watsonville-Santa Cruz Japanese American Citizens League, featuring entertainment from Watsonville Taiko – a performance you won’t want to miss!
Admission is of course free, but if you don’t want to go through the hassle of actually packing a picnic lunch, they do have a BBQ lunch for sale, including BBQ chicken, hot dogs, chili, rice, salad, French bread, and beverages! Just $8 for teens and adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12 and seniors 70 years and up, and kids under 5 years old eat free!
Lots of Fun Activities
It’s more than just great friends and food – they’re having races and senior bingo between 11:00 AM and noon, and then at noon, Watsonville Taiko takes the stage.
There will be a scholarship presentation at 12:25, and lunch will be served at 12:45. There’s more races and bingo from 1:45 til 3:00, and then at 3:00 there will be an ice cream social – and who doesn’t like ice cream?!
The day will be capped off with a raffle with many great prizes. This promises to be a really fun event, and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. So head on down to Aptos Village Park this Saturday and have a great time!
